Hey I am wondering if anyone was able to find the following information on phils training.
1) does Phil time his workouts
2) does Phil do sets to failure for each set?
3) does Phil train twice a day and if so what's his split

And does he do drop sets? I've been watching his training videos and likes supersets more than dropsets
1) nerver seen him with a stopwatch, but he said that he always knows how long it's gonna take, in order to be able to schedule all his business during the day
2) good question, i guess we have to wait for the real offseason, but he trains alone, so maybe he reaches failure when he trains with machines that are not dangerous, but no forced reps or stuff like that im sure.
imho He probably goes near to failure but not completely, except when he does an fst7 exercise or trains with his trainer hany ranbod, who trains with him sometimes during the prep
drop sets, in a Q & A he said that its not comfortable because training alone means that it takes too much time and efforts to take the plates down from the machine than doing the acutal set
Hey @fillo, do you remember which Q&A it was he said that? I want to see if I can get a link to it to post here but I totally can't find it. Duh-oh!
@AngelAndres hey,
https://giftedchannel.vhx.tv/weekly-vlog/videos/q-a-6
here he talks about dropsets supersets etc
the question is at min 5.50 and he speaks about dropsets in his training from min 8.30, circa
These are all good questions. I'll see if the Gifted Team producers can get them in to the next Q&A shoot for you guys.
