Speaking of own experience, you don't train if you feel you're not 100%, if you do, your recovery time will be much longer. You also don't get much out of your workout because your body is already giving its best to make you well, so breaking it down with a workout will only slow it all down and make it worse. Some tips for not getting sick is making sure you're taking enough vitamins of all kinds on daily, specially before you get out of the house n the morning, and if you feel you're about to get sick, I usually make sure im getting vitamin C throughout the day to fully recover back again, dont be hesitate to take a rest day aswell.
