I have competed in 2 shows thus far.. I did the Denver Open, and The Northern.
ME: I'm 55y/o male. I have pretty much stayed in shape all my life, It wasn't until about 15 years ago, I started having issue with health.. Colon resection, Constant battle with Crohn's Disease, and several year history of PSVT's... So just being sick and tired all the time I stopped working out, and found myself Skinny-Fat.... Once I got everything taken care of I finally felt like myself again, and decided to get back in shape... It wasn't until last year that people took notice and asked if I was prepping for a show, I hadn't considered it, although it was always a dream of mine. So I started training like a bodybuilder, I hired a coach to direct me in diet, and exercise...
My First competition was the Denver Open, I did well, Placing in every event, and the second show was the Northern at the School of mines... Again I did well, I actually showed up 2 pounds heavier, still ripped, and I placed in almost every division I entered.
I was considering to do the Rocky in November but.... If I do will be only a couple of pounds bigger than my second show.. So I am focusing on continued growth, especially Hamstrings, Chest, and because I have a bit of a thick waist, I really need to make my lats wider, and thicker... I almost wish I could turn back the hands of time and begin this Journey when I was in my 20's... But here I am 55 years old, 5'4" and really enjoying this whole process... and Yea I can't wait until I get back on stage again.. The whole experience is Great!!!!
